Loren Lee Lewis, 90, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 11, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The service will be next week in New Berlin, Ill.
Mr. Lewis was born on Oct. 16, 1922, in Alexander, Ill. He was a press brake operator and a member of the United Auto Workers in Illinois for 30 years. He loved baseball since he was a youth and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Diamondbacks and Suns fan. He was a Christian and loved spending time in Pinetop-Lakeside, traveling, experiencing new things and places, and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra (Pat)Hennessey of Casa Grande, Gloria Whiteside of Glendale and Kathleen (Rick) Caruthers of Waverly, Ill.; two sons, Joseph (Linda) and Vernon L. Burger of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Jones of Peoria, Ill.; a brother, James Lewis of Springfield; 10 grandchildren, Terri Miller, Tamara Ginger, Brenda Burger, William Joseph Burger, Pat Hennessey, Alexandra McCaslin, Lisa Ann Albers, John Hennessey, Cathy Jean Otero, and Aaron Caruthers; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy M. and Mary E.; two brothers, Ralph and Robert Lewis; and four sisters, Betty Pope, Mae Cumby, Rose Prince and Barbara Gansbauer.
