CASA GRANDE - Lorenzo Mejia, 68, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 18, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Mejia was born on Oct. 26, 1947, in Hudson, Colorado, and was a son of Refugio Mejia and Jovita Sanchez. He was a truck driver and loved the outdoors and having his family over.
He enjoyed telling stories and jokes and making people laugh. He also enjoyed music, dancing and going to casinos. He liked the Wild West, and his favorite movie was "Tombstone." A Broncos fan, he also enjoyed football.
Survivors include his wife, Celia B.; three daughters, Margie, Amanda N. and Lisa M. Mejia, all of Casa Grande; two sons, Johnny and Lorenzo Mejia Jr. of Casa Grande; three sisters, Nelda Gracia of San Juan, Texas, Mary Gamez of Tucson and Rosalinda Mendez of Casa Grande; five brothers, Raul Mejia of Elsa, Texas, Joe, Pat and Bobby Mejia, all of Casa Grande, and David Mejia of Waco, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Primera Iglesia Bautista. The service will follow at 11, with Pastor Leonardo Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
