MARICOPA COLONY — Louella Ruth Carpio, 60, of Phoenix died on May 15, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at the District 7 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Tuesday in Vamori Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Gordon Garcia officiating.
Ms. Carpio was born on April 11, 1953, in Phoenix. She was an academic counselor and dedicated her life to working with children in the Laveen School District. She was devoted to her family and friends, especially her granddaughter. She was a wonderful cook and always had a smile.
Survivors include her husband, Dale E. Kelly; a son, Arlo Innis of Phoenix; two daughters, Marcy Romero and Yvette Carpio of Albuquerque, N.M.; her mother, Florence Innis of Vamori; four brothers, Gilbert Innis of Tempe, Roderick and Julius Innis of Phoenix and Guy Innis of Casa Blanca; a sister, Victoria Innis of Vamori; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, John Innis Jr., and a brother, Bennett Innis.
