Lovie L. Hall, 77, of Coolidge died on Nov. 13, 2010, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Coolidge Church of the Nazarene. The funeral will follow at 10:30, with Pastor Grady Whatley Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Ms. Hall was born on Sept. 30, 1933, in San Augustine, Texas, and was a daughter of Wallace H. and Luria L. Mathis. She gave birth to six children but was a mother to many. She was always a caregiver and never turned people away. She was a supervisor for state government.
She was outspoken. She loved to sing and travel and was preparing for a trip to the Philippines. She enjoyed church and was a member of First Baptist Church in Coolidge. She was very active in the Coolidge school district, sat on the library board and was active in other community functions. She was friendly and enjoyed her family.
Survivors include four sons, James D. Mathis of Tucson, W. Alvin and Otis B. Thomas and Derrick J. Hall, all of Coolidge; three daughters, Marilyn A. Thomas and Jaslyn N. Hall of Coolidge and Evelyn Thomas of Superior; a sister, Pearlie B. Jenkins of Los Angeles; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry W. Flowers, and two sisters, Nelda R. and Ervie G. Mathis.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
