Lucas Antone

JACKRABBIT VILLAGE — Lucas J. Antone, 67, died on Feb. 16, 2012, at home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Jackrabbit, Tohono O'odham Nation, by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot. The wake will follow there beginning at 5. All choirs are welcome. Burial will be Saturday morning.
Mr. Antone was born on Sept. 24, 1944, in Theba and was a son of Moreen Dora and Francisco Antone. He was a farmworker in the Casa Grande and Stanfield areas and enjoyed his work. He also enjoyed watching western movies, other shows and wrestling. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he always wanted them around him.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Pauline B.; four daughters, Rose S. Garcia of Casa Grande, Yolanda G. Reyna of Hidden Valley, Joyce M. Antone of Tat Momoli Village and Jennifer A. Antone of Casa Grande; two sons Calvin J. and Duane J. Antone of Ak-Chin; two brothers, Clement Antone of Little Tucson and Gilbert Antone of Kaka Village; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, George D. Garcia; a brother, Gerald D. Antone; a sister, Jean Lopez; and two grandchildren.
