Luis Mangaser Oviedo Sr., born on August 19, 1950, in Dagupan, Philippines, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was a cherished father, brother, husband and friend, whose life was marked by deep familial connections and a passion for various hobbies. Luis married Lita Oliva in the Philippines on May 20th, 1970.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife Lita Oliva Oviedo and children: Voltaire, Rosalina, Josefina, Pilar, Luis Jr., Ma. Luisita, Atty Jose, Mary Ann, and Maverick. He also had the joy of being a grandfather to six grandchildren, who brought immense pride to his life. Alongside his immediate family, he is survived by his sister, Lina Mangio, and brothers, Eliseo Oviedo and Fredes Oviedo.
Luis was known for his love of reading books and staying informed through watching the news. He found joy in singing karaoke, a testament to his vibrant spirit, and was an avid chess and solitaire player, illustrating his strategic thinking and love for challenges.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family, who will gather to honor his memory. Visitation will take place on November 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Casa Grande - Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, located at 525 N Peart Road, Casa Grande, AZ 85122. A Funeral Service will follow on November 22, 2024, at 2:30 PM, concluding at 4:30 PM at the same location.
