Luria L. Mathis

COOLIDGE - Luria L. Mathis, 97, of Coolidge died Sept. 16, 2008 at home.


The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church in Coolidge, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Richard Wright Jr. will officiate.

Mrs. Mathis was born in San Augustine, Texas. She was a special needs rehabilitation technician.

Survivors include two daughters, Lovie L. Hall of Coolidge and Pearlie Jenkins of Los Angeles; a brother, Hollis Polk of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; two daughters, Nelda R. and Ervie G. Mathis; three sisters, Narsis, Callie and Mattie B. Polk; and seven brothers, Willie, Rush, Ben, Frank, Ivory, Sam and Emmit Polk.
