Lydia E. Almaguer, 92, of Casa Grande, AZ died on January 4th, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a school teacher when she married Angel Almaguer and relocated to Parker, AZ; approximately 20 years later she relocated to Casa Grande, AZ where she lived the rest of her life.
She is survived by her sister Angelica Guajardo of Monterrey,N.L.,Mexico, her six children: San Juanita Almaguer from Green Valley,AZ, Roberto A. Almaguer, Lydia G. Almaguer, Hilda A. Valencia, Gustavo E. Almaguer and Maria A. Rojas all from Casa Grande, AZ, her step daughter Rafaela Almaguer Amavisca of Casa Grande,AZ, her 7 grandchildren, and her 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Angel A. Almaguer, step son Angel Almaguer, her grandson Jose Andrez Vergara, her great-grandson Angel Michael Mejia, her parents Roberto & Maria Guadalupe Elizondo, and her siblings Roberto, Elva, Ramiro and Ruben Elizondo.
She loved to spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, enjoyed doing word searches, family get togethers, knitting and sewing. She loved traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people. She was a Jehovah’s Witness, who enjoyed being out in service teaching others about the Bible, and enjoyed being around the congregation members. She lived her full 92 years to their fullest.
Funeral Services will be held at J. Warren Funeral Services 525 N. Peart Rd. Casa Grande, AZ 85122 Wednesday, January 10,2024, viewing will be from 9am to 11am, with a public discourse given at 11:00 A.M. by elder Justino Solano Sr. of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
