Maricopa

Lynn Marie Martin, a powerful force of nature and a beacon of resilience, passed away on October 28, 2024 in Maricopa, Arizona, at the age of 69. Born on August 5, 1955, in the vibrant city of Rochester, New York, Lynn spent her life carving a path that reflected her unwavering spirit and indomitable will.

Her varied career was as colorful as her personality. She dedicated a chapter of her life to the Mesa Public School District as a school bus dispatcher, ensuring the safety and comfort of countless children as they journeyed to and from school. In her role as the CEO of Brampton Real Estate Board in Ontario, Canada, she combined her remarkable leadership skills with her passion for helping others, becoming a respected figure in the community. Lynn was also a Semi Truck Driver, sharing the open road with the wind in her hair and freedom in her heart.

To those fortunate enough to cross her path, Lynn was not just a person; she was a legend. The strongest, most confident, and passionate individual many had ever met, she epitomized kindness and strength. Her laughter rang like a melody that could brighten the darkest days, and her wisdom offered solace and guidance to all who sought it. Lynn loved deeply and fiercely, embracing life with every fiber of her being, forever determined to live it to the fullest.

An adventurer at heart, Lynn found joy in the open road aboard her beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle, putting over 200,000 miles on her gleaming pearly white Heritage Softail. Her fellow riders, known as her "Wind Sisters," along with her chapter members, celebrated the camaraderie of riding in both Canada and Arizona. Together, they reveled in the thrill of the ride and hearts soaring with freedom. In her younger years, she found pleasure in the strategic gameplay of pool, competing in tournaments in Las Vegas, Nevada, leaving behind a legacy of joy and competitive spirit.

Lynn is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Gordon Martin, and her beloved daughters, Tanya Clarise Whitney of Mesa, Arizona, and Marcy Lynn Herring of Maricopa, Arizona. The fabric of her family is further enriched by her loving Mother, Eleanor M. Ingstrum, and brothers and sisters: Cher Ingstrum, Richard and Sue Ingstrum, David and Diane Ingstrum, Mark Ingstrum, Peter and Crystal Ingstrum, Diane and Craig Peasley, and Thomas and Kristine Ingstrum. She leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Jaden Whitney and Emilyn Herring and one great-grandchild, Keison Whitney, who will carry forward her spirit of love and strength. She was so proud to be “GaGa” to her only granddaughter.

Her legacy is also intertwined with those who have preceded her: her father, Richard C. Ingstrum, and her brother, John A. Ingstrum, now reunited.

As we bid farewell to Lynn Marie Martin, we celebrate a life that exemplified courage, tenacity, and an unyielding passion for life. She touched the lives of many and will forever be remembered as the heart of her family—a true legend of her time, whose love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
