Macario "Victor" Vidal

ELOY - Macario "Victor" Vidal, 71, of Eloy died on Nov. 16, 2019.

Mr. Vidal was born on July 24, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Macario and Hortencia Vidal. He was a longtime resident of Eloy and grew up in both Eloy and Superior. He graduated high school in Superior in 1968.

He worked at the mine in Superior for 30-plus years and was married to Virginia Woods and then to Donna Smith. He loved to go fishing and camping and enjoyed watching western movies, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his five sons, Timothy, Victor, Ryan Elliott and Kevin Vidal, all of Mesa, and Paul Cary Valenzuela; a sister, Estella Vidal; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jose "Nonie" Vidal, and a sister, Linda.

Graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, in Eloy Memorial Park.
