Leonard Mack Tacker, age 81, passed into the next life on February 14, 2012 in Casa Grande. Mack was born October 31, 1930 in Garfield, AR to Roy Brown Tacker and Bytha A. (nee Lombard) Tacker. He was united in marriage on November 4, 1950 to Joyce Wilson in Bentonville, AR. They moved to Yuma, AZ in 1952, to Stanfield in 1966 and to Casa Grande in 1978. He was a retired cotton ginner. He loved to play his guitar and sing until suffering a stroke 13 years ago. After his stroke, he could no longer play guitar, and lost most of his speech, but could still sing every song he knew beautifully. He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 61 years; seven children, Diane Parrish of Whitehall, MI, Leonard Tacker of Casa Grande, Ron Tacker of Las Vegas, NV, Connie Barclay of Gilbert, Raymond Tacker of Casa Grande, Belinda Wells McClure of Mesa and Wanita Moss of Gilbert; three brothers, Leroy Tacker of Albuquerque, NM, Everett Ray Tacker of Globe and Billy Joe Tacker of Peralta, NM; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Mae Tilly and his son, David Tacker. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Glad Tidings Church, 275 W. Viola, Casa Grande, and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud the Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
