Madie Davis, 86, of Maricopa died Oct. 20, 2008 in Maricopa.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mrs. Davis was born in Mount Vernon, Ill., and was a daughter of Walter Fisher and Madie Moore. She was a riveter in a defense plant during World War II. She later was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and oil painting. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, and was a Christian woman.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; a son, Perry Davis of Prescott Valley; a sister, Betty Greene of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Davis, and a grandson, Rodney Davis.
