BLACKWATER - Magdaleno Valenzuela, 48, of Casa Grande died Jan. 11, 2009 in Goodyear.
Visitation was from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the District 1 Service Center in Blackwater, with the wake following at 10 at the Arthur Valenzuela home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Mission. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery.
Mr. Valenzuela was born in Sacaton. He was an electrician and a hard worker. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and loved to joke and make people laugh. He made and beaded Indian jewelry.
He loved dancing and any type of music that made his feet start moving. He liked watching movies, especially Westerns, and enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. He also liked cooking, especially barbecuing, and eating.
Survivors include a son, Mario Valenzuela of Casa Grande; four brothers, Arthur and Rudy Valenzuela and Leland Evans, all of Coolidge, and Raymond Valenzuela of Mexico; and a sister, Glenda Molina of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rachel and Magdaleno Valenzuela Sr., and a sister, Rebecca Jackson.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
