PALO VERDE STAND VILLAGE - Manuel Luz Lopez, 42, died May 9, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson.


The wake will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot. Burial will be in San Luis Cemetery in Santa Rosa.

Mr. Lopez was born Aug. 28, 1966 in Sells. He was Catholic and enjoyed traveling and praying all over the reservation with his rosary group. He was very sociable. He enjoyed chicken scratch, Pascola and Mexican music.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy L. Lopez of Santa Rosa, and cousins, nephews and nieces.
