SACATON — Manuel Flores Marrufo, 70, died on March 7, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in East Sacaton Cemetery.
Mr. Marrufo was born on June 25, 1941, in Mexico and was a son of Ascencion and Gregoria Marrufo. He worked for Gila River Farms for 34 years and was a diesel mechanic foreman. He enjoyed going camping with his family in the White Mountains. His favorite pastime after retiring was going to casinos.
Survivors include his wife, Aleta R.; two sons, Steve Marrufo of Blackwater and Monti Marrufo Sr. of Scottsdale; four brothers, Frank, Tony, John and Raymundo Marrufo, all of Queen Creek; six sisters, Josie Sharp, Connie Balderas, Ester Vance, Teresa Sanchez, Christina Rodriguez and Margarita Rubi, all of Queen Creek; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Joe Marrufo.
