Manuel P. Garcia

Manuel P. Garcia Jr., 76, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 18, 2014, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral there will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Pastors Valente Celaya and Carlos Marin will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Garcia was born on June 18, 1938, in Brownsville, Texas, and was a son of Manuel Garcia Sr. and Eustolia Perez. He was a farmworker. A member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching Telemundo and old black-and-white movies. He also liked watching wrestling and never missed a title match.

Survivors include two daughters, Esmeralda Garcia of Stanfield and Minnie Hodges of Maricopa; two sons, Juan Garcia of Stanfield and Bobby Alvarez of Casa Grande; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jose Manuel; a sister, Ramona Garcia; and three brothers, Raymundo Castellano, Jesus and Guadalupe Garcia.
