QUEEN CREEK - Manuel Tellez Jr., 18, of Chandler Heights died Aug. 17, 2007 in Sacaton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Salt River Memorial Hall. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Queen Creek. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa.

Mr. Tellez was born May 26, 1989 in Phoenix. He was a student at Salt River High School. He enjoyed baseball and sports in general and being with his family and friends. He looked forward to being an uncle.

Survivors include his mother, Sharlene James of Chandler Heights; a brother, Alex Tellez of Chandler Heights; a sister, Melissa Jose of Chandler Heights; his grandmothers, Ethel James of Chandler Heights and Mary Moncada of Avondale; and a newborn niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Tellez Sr., in 1992, and grandfathers, Roger James and Carlos Maldonado.
