Marcos S. Celaya Sr., 77, of Casa Grande died July 3, 2015 at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud Gardens Chapel. Rosary will be recited there at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Ariel Lustan officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Celaya was born April 25, 1938 in San Vicente, Texas, to Guadalupe and Rosa Celaya. He was a machine operator in the manufacturing industry and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He lived and accepted everything in life was at God's Will. Marcos was humble and kind in nature, a man of strong faith and convictions, master story-teller, observant and always thinking... loved music and always was happy. He enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings, ready for his day to start. He had a great respect for the elderly and enjoyed reminiscing about his life growing up in the state of Texas. He was proud of his children and devoted to his family and had many friends and always made new ones. Marcos left behind a legacy of faith, hope and love.
He is survived by four daughters, Virginia Bustamante, Angie Celaya, Diana Celaya and Linda Salazar, all of Casa Grande; one son, Gilbert of Casa Grande; five brothers, Locario of Marathon, Texas, Juan of Casa Grande, Carlos of Phoenix, Valente of Stanfield and Margarito of Alpine, Texas; and four sisters, Petra Garcia of Stanfield, Julie Sanchez and Damiana Lopez of Fort Stockton, Texas, Delfina Diaz of Amarillo, Texas; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Marcos Jr., and two brothers, Doniciano Castulo and Camilo Celaya.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Gardens Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
