Mardonio "Pepe" Monreal, 44, of Casa Grande died on March 3, 2015, at home.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 10, with Pastor Josh Ibarra officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Monreal was born on Jan. 4, 1971, in Casa Grande. He was a cook and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed the modest things in life, his job and listening to all kinds of music, especially Ramon Ayala. He also enjoyed action movies and playing cards, darts and horseshoes.
He liked cookouts and football and was a big Raiders fan. He always enjoyed time with his family, especially his niece Ysabella. Holidays were his favorite time with family, especially when he was playing jokes or making jokes. He was a gentle and generous man.
Survivors include a son, Mardonio "MJ" Monreal Jr. of Casa Grande; his mother, Manuela Monreal of Casa Grande; two brothers, Miguel and Martin Monreal of Casa Grande; and four sisters, Vickie Guanajuato, Magda, Mercedes and Contessa Monreal, all of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Monreal.
