Margaret Frances Thomas

SANTA ROSA VILLAGE - Margaret Frances Thomas, 81, of Santa Rosa died on Oct. 27, 2019, at Chandler Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Mrs. Thomas was born on Aug. 30, 1938, in Florence and was a daughter of Nolea and Louise (Romero) Ramon. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking, basket weaving and traditional and waila dancing.

She was a cook at a Bureau of Indian Affairs school and Head Start and retired as an assistant cook at an elderly center. She volunteered to help at church.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Gonzales of Santa Rosa and Rebecca Williams of Blackwater; a son, Michael Antone of Santa Rosa; two sisters, Ida Norris of Sells and Flora Enos of Santa Rosa; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas, and three brothers, Frank, Rufus and Alex Ramon.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Mission, with service following until 4 and burial in Santa Rosa South Cemetery.
