Margarita Garcia

FLORENCE - Margarita Z. Garcia, 84, died on Jan. 1, 2018, in Florence.

Mrs. Garcia was born to Manuel and Frances Zapata in Mammoth on March 21, 1933.

She is survived by five adult children, Mary Lou Bejarano and Linda M. Lopez of Florence, Frances A. Goldsmith of Pinetop-Lakeside, Chuck Garcia of Mesa and Reina Robertson of Coolidge; a sister, Nellie Aviles; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos T. "Choloy" Garcia; a son, Louie E. Martinez III; and a grandson, Deputy Jason P. Lopez.

Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, at Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia.
