Margarita Lopez

ELOY - Margarita Hinojosa Lopez, 81, died on Feb. 28, 2018.

Mrs. Lopez was born on Feb. 23, 1937, in Donna, Texas, to Timoteo and Benita Hinojosa. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, listening to music and watching her novelas on TV. She was a sports fan, and her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Survivors include her husband, Pedro Lopez Sr.; four daughters and sons, Maria Juanita L. Garcia of Milpitas, California, Sylvia Lopez Samaniego of Laveen, Jose and Pedro Lopez Jr. of Eloy; three siblings, Timoteo Hinojosa II of Eloy, Rosa H. Gonzalez of Seattle and Maria Elena H. Soto of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Reynaldo "Moe" Lopez; a sister, Emilia Hinojosa; and two brothers, Vicente and Domingo Hinojosa.

Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass celebrated there at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
