ELOY - Margarita Y. Espinoza, 87, a longtime resident of Eloy, died on Nov. 10, 2019.
Mrs. Espinoza was a daughter of Daniel and Griselda Ybarra. She was known for her skilled talent in embroidery and crocheting and created many beautiful family heirlooms.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and cooking traditional Mexican dishes and was an avid tamale maker throughout the year. She was also fond of inviting her grandchildren to join her for breakfast at her favorite restaurant, JB’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul G. Survivors include 13 daughters and sons, Christina Moreno, Sylvia Gibson and Rudy Espinoza, all of Casa Grande, Ruben Lopez, Marcos Escamilla, Ruth Smith, Margaret Arreola, Juanita Key and Celia Curtis, all of Eloy, Raul Escamilla of Gardnerville, Nevada, Maria Casey of Phoenix, Clara Dietrich of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Mary Espinoza of Coolidge; a sister, Mary Helen Ruiz of Eloy; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, with rosary recited at 7, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass celebrated there at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
