Margaret “Margie” Salcido, a vibrant and outgoing individual, passed away on August 20, 2023, in Tempe at the age of 76. Born to Severiano and Maria Flores on January 12, 1947, Margie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Throughout her life, Margie was known for her lively spirit and zest for sports. In her youth, she found immense joy in playing softball and would often captivate those around her with her skill and enthusiasm. Later on, she developed a passion for pickleball that brought her great delight. Beyond her love for sports, Margie truly thrived in her role as a high school security guard. The connections she formed with students and staff made it more than just a job; it became a fulfilling part of her life.
However, it was Margie's dedication to family and friends that truly defined her. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and valued the bonds they shared. Her warm presence brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to be part of her inner circle.
Margie is survived by her beloved daughter Veronica Ingram, her loving son Carlos Salcido, and her brothers William, Edward, Jesse, and Rudy Flores. She also leaves behind five grandchildren who were a source of immense joy and pride, Brianna Reiners, Garrett Ingram, Hayden Salcido, Julia Tipp and Gavin Salcido. Margie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family members.
Preceding her in death are her parents Severiano and Maria Flores, as well as her brothers Herman, Ernesto, and Richard Flores.
