Maria Elena Avalos-Coreas, born on January 24, 1974, in Usutan, El Salvador, bid farewell to this world on July 29, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Maria's departure has left a void in the hearts of many who cherished her vibrant presence.
Those who knew Maria will always remember her for the laughter she brought into their lives. Described as very funny and remarkably beautiful, Maria had a knack for brightening any space around her. Her sense of humor was infectious, often weaving her own jokes and sharing "inside jokes" with those closest to her.
Maria had a deep passion for beauty and makeup, always impeccably dressed regardless of the occasion. She held a particular fondness for everything 80's – from the fashion to the music that defined the era. But most of all, Maria found joy in spending time with her family and friends at lively gatherings where she could dance and sing to her heart's content.
One of the cherished memories of Maria is the precious moment she got to meet her grandson, Dante, shortly before her untimely passing. This meeting symbolized a beautiful culmination of love and family bonding that will forever be treasured by all involved.
Maria leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be carried on by her surviving family members. She is mourned by her beloved children: Cynthia Joanne Perez (Avalos) and Cristian Hernesto Avalos; her beautiful grandson Dante Francisco Perez; her siblings Miguel Avalos, Jr., Manuel Avalos, Oscar Avalos, Juan Antonio Avalos, Carlos Avalos, Miriam Avalos; all residing in Arizona and Rosita Avalos of Usulautan, El Salvador; as well as dear friend Kristina Ruiz, RN. She is preceded in death by Miguel Angel Coreas (father), Ana Julia Avalos (mother), brothers Alfredo Avalos, Francisco Avalos, Saul Avalos, Armando Avalos; sister Anita Avalos.
The memory of Maria Elena Avalos-Coreas will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. We will gather to honor her life and mourn her passing during the visitation on August 9th at Casa Grande - Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel followed by the funeral service at the same location, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a life that radiated joy and touched so many souls.
