Maria Luisa Castanon, 88, of Casa Grande died on March 26, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 10, with Manuel Garcia officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Castanon was born on July 20, 1924, in Saric, Sonora, Mexico. She was a homemaker and liked to sew, cook, read and spend time with her family. She was Jehovah's Witness and was devoted to her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Nena Molina of Casa Grande and Oralia Lehman of Tucson; two sons, Francisco Talamante of Nogales, Sonora, and Danuario Reyes of Casa Grande; four sisters, Francisca Carino of Mexico, Edilia Garcia and Cruz Pruett of Tucson and Anna Garcia of Phoenix; three brothers, Rafael Diaz of San Jacinto, Calif., Placido Diaz of Surprise and Jesus Diaz of Phoenix; 16 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; two brothers, Manuel and Antonio Diaz; and four sisters, Belen Hernandez, Mercedes Orozco, Guadalupe Camacho and Margarita Tapia.
