ELOY — Maria de la Cruz Rodriguez, 79, of Eloy died on April 4, 2013.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Juan Carlos Aguirre. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born on July 3, 1933, in San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico, and was a daughter of Feliciano and Anacieta Rivera. She was a farmworker and traveled extensively with her parents. She loved to listen to religious music, enjoyed exercise and shopping, and always looked forward to family reunions. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed going to the drive-in.
Survivors include her husband, Jacobo G.; four sons, Efren and Francisco Rodriguez of Salinas, Calif., Ladislado Rodriguez of Casa Grande and Adrian Rodriguez of Kennewick, Wash.; two daughters, Margarita Ortiz of Kennewick and Maria Macias; a brother, Lorenzo Rivera of Phoenix; five sisters, Juanita Salazar and Rosa Chavez of Eloy, Tita Olmos of Casa Grande, Julia Placencia of Salinas and Marina Avilez of Paris, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Santos Rivera, and a sister, Alejandrina Rivera.
