Maria Elena Montano

ELOY - Maria Elena Montano, 74, of Eloy died on Aug. 19, 2015, in Tucson.

Visitation began at 5 p.m. Aug. 25 at an Eloy home. Rosary and Mass were Aug. 26 at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Burial was in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Montano was born on Jan. 17, 1941, in Rayon, Sonora, Mexico.

She was a homemaker and loved cooking for and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jesus; two daughters, Maria Guadalupe Montano and Julieta Montano of Eloy; three sons, Jesus P. and Carlos A. Montano of Eloy and Francisco N. Montano of Casa Grande; two sisters, Ramona Herrera Salazar and Rosa E. Herrera of Hermosillo, Sonora; four brothers, Mariano Herrera of Marana, Antonio, Baltazar and Reynaldo Herrera, all of Hermosillo; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
