Maria Gonzales

ELOY — Maria Gonzales, 67, of Eloy died on July 3, 2011, at University Medical Center in Tucson.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 9 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Charles Cloud. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gonzales was born on Sept. 22, 1943, in Casa Grande. She worked as a care giver and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved all her family and loved to hug and kiss everyone. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends at the senior citizen center.
Survivors include a daughter, Martina Reyes of Eloy; two sons, Angelo Gonzales of Casa Grande and Juan Gonzales of Eloy; her mother, Rita Urquides of Eloy; a sister, Mary Helen Blanco of Eloy; two brothers, Manuel and David Urquides of Eloy; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amado Gonzales Jr.; her father, Juan Urquides; a brother, Francisco “Tacho” Urquides; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Ortega Jr. and Michael Murrieta III.
