Maria Gonzalez Cruz

ARIZONA CITY - Maria Gonzales Cruz, 77, of Arizona City died on March 1, 2017.

Mrs. Cruz was born on Aug. 29, 1939, in San Marcos, Texas, to Juan and Paula Gonzales. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially being around her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and was caring and loving to all she met.

She is survived by her husband, Jose G.; five sons, Jose Guadalupe Cruz Jr. of Casa Grande, Francisco and George Cruz of Arizona City, Robert Cruz of Chandler and Richard Carlos Cruz of Casa Grande; three daughters, Martha and Hortencia Sanchez of Casa Grande and Anna Marie Cruz of Arizona City; a sister, Lita Perez; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Cruz; a sister, Mary Lou Ramirez; and two brothers, Jose C. and Guadalupe Gonzales.

Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Rosary and Mass beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
