Maria Hernandez De Cazares

ELOY - Maria Porfiria Hernandez de Cazares, 82, of Eloy died on Dec. 24, 2013.

Visitation will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 8:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. de Cazares was born on Feb. 21, 1931, in Estacion Yago, Nayarit, Mexico. She was a homemaker and loved to return to her birthplace. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed watching people dance, worked hard, cooked for everyone and took good care of her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Norma and Martha Cazares and Estela Avilez, all of Eloy; eight sons, Francisco Cazares, Jose Luis, Jose Manuel, Esequiel, Eliseo, Javier and Cristobal Cazares Jr., all of Eloy, and David Cazares of Washington state; 54 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cristobal Cazares Mendez; a daughter, Josefina Cazares; and a son, Ramon Cazares.
