Maria Luz Morin

Maria Luz "Lucy" Morin, 59, of Eloy passed away Sunday April 25, 2021 in Phoenix.
Maria was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on September 2, 1961 to Luis and Rufina (Alvidrez) Lara.
She attended Central Arizona Community College to further her education.
Maria led a very active lifestyle and enjoyed working hands-on. She worked for many years as a machine operator. She also was a caregiver for her father, which she enjoyed.
Maria loved cooking; her family remembers how much she loved to listen to her music while doing so. She enjoyed reading, especially novels. In later years she became interested in gardening and was very proud of the rose bushes she grew. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family, which for her were the greatest joy in her life.
She was preceded in death by her son, Hector Mendoza, who passed away in 2008; by her brother Alberto Lara; by her sister Olga Lara; and by her parents.
Maria is survived by her husband Cruz R. Baeza of Eloy; by her daughters, Maria Lara of Eloy, Krystal Morin of Casa Grande, Bianca Morin of Eloy, and Corinna Espinoza of Eloy; by her brothers, Pablo Lara of Washington and Lorenzo Lara of California; by her sisters, Lorenza Morales of Casa Grande, Amada Escarsega of California; Rosa Dueñez of Casa Grande, Connie Lara of Texas and Patty Garcia of Casa Grande; and by her 15 grandchildren.
A funeral mass is to be held at St. Helen of the Cross church in Eloy. Services are private due to current restrictions.
