Maria O'Dell Mejia

CASA GRANDE - Maria O'Dell Mejia, 78, died on Nov. 22, 2018.

Mrs. Mejia was born on March 29, 1940, in Pleasanton, Texas, to Jose and Ricarda Hernandez. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son and six daughters, Daniel Mejia Jr., Alicia M. Sanchez, Irma Chavarin, Ida Mejia, Esther Ruelas, Mary H. Rodriguez and Lucia Mejia; a sister, Juanita Hernandez; 45 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Mejia Sr.; three children, Elia Avila, Lionel and Augustine Mejia; five brothers; and a sister.

Funeral at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with graveside service at noon in Mountain View Cemetery.
