Maria Ortega

COOLIDGE — Maria A. Ortega, 65, died on Dec. 15, 2011, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Coolidge, with rosary recited at 10:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Ms. Ortega was born on July 2, 1946, in Marana and was a daughter of Cipriano B. and Ruth D. Ortega. She was an administrative assistant for state government and an independent, hardworking single parent. She was very giving to her family and friends. She loved her Lord and enjoyed reading, listening to music and working on family photograph albums.
Survivors include a son, Cruz Acevedo of Casa Grande; four brothers, Cipriano T. Ortega of Porterville, Calif., Cruz A. Ortega of Casa Grande, Andy Ortega of Florence and Alex Ortega of Arizona City; two sisters, Sally Rodriguez of Tucson and Armida Villanueva of Maricopa; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mollie Burd, and two brothers, Alberto and Armando Ortega.
