Marian Kay Landgraf, 70, of Casa Grande, died in her home Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Marian was born to Mary Kay Ann Jackson and Harry R. Wilson (Charlene Price) on November 11, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri.
After relocating to Iowa as a child, Marian attended and graduated from East High School in Waterloo, Iowa in 1960. She married Paul K. Snodgrass in 1962 and they had two daughters: Susan Kay and Kimberly Ann. They divorced in 1972. She was married to Raymond Humphrey 1974-1977. Both Paul and
Raymond preceded her in death.
Marian held various occupations throughout her life: caring for the elderly at the Lutheran Home in Cedar Falls, Iowa; working as a press operator for Waterloo Industries; and was employed for many years at IBM in San Jose, California. She enjoyed singing and was a soprano in St. Timothy's United Methodist Church choir for many years. She loved hiking, writing, spending time with her family and her dogs throughout the years: Moppet, Toby and Tipper. She also enjoyed walking California's beaches, with special fondness for the beach in Carmel, California.
She cherished the last 15 years of her life with her husband and soulmate, John Landgraf, and their combined families. Marian leaves behind a sister Delores "Dee" Hathaway, a half-sister Sunni Wells, a half-brother Larry Rihl, daughters Susan Kay DeBord and Kimberly Ann Lau (Mike), grandchildren Brittany S. DeBord, Michael S. Lau, Ashley M. Lau, Bethany Swartz, Anthony Swartz, Timothy Swartz and Jeremy Swartz.
Marian is preceded in death by her mother-in-parentis Charlene Wilson, her brother William Wilson, her father Harry and her mother Mary Kay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1 at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Andy Sanders officiating.
