Sue Rucker, 62, died March 9, 2008 in Goodyear.
Visitation began at 9 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral followed at 10. Burial was in Valley Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rucker was born Nov. 9, 1945 in Chickasha, Okla., to Karl and Ruby Lantz. She was a bookkeeper in the transportation industry for many years. She was friendly and enjoyed people very much. She welcomed people to her home and was known as a mom to everyone.
She was a Boy Scout leader and was known for her love of flowers and her garden. She enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, quilting and needlework. She also enjoyed travel, visiting people, playing pool, bowling, playing computer games and going to casinos.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice Sempere of El Mirage, Sheila Wallen of Lock Haven, Pa., and Pamela Thompson of Buckeye; four brothers, Buster Lantz of Yuma, David Lantz of Florence, Jerry and Gary Lantz of Coolidge; two sisters, Kathryn Wright and Carolyn Clubb of Coolidge; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert, and a brother, Junior Lantz.
