Marjorie Lee Scoville

November 24, 1933 — February 8, 2008

Marjorie Scoville, 74, of Arizona City, made her journey to the peace and serenity of eternal rest on February 8, 2008.


Born in Virden, Illinois to Jesse and Mary Andereck, she raised her family in Illinois before coming to Arizona in 1985.

Spending her career as a waitress in the Smitty's and Denny's restaurant chains in the Tempe and Phoenix areas, she was adopted as Mom by many of her co-workers and customers alike.

She loved motorcycle touring, and made many trips cross-country to Illinois, Connecticut, and all points in between to visit family and friends. She was a long time supporter of the Ride for Kids fund-raiser for childhood brain cancer research.

She leaves behind her husband William Scoville of Arizona City; daughters Ramona Lacey of Farmington, IL, and Karen Kell of Saint David, IL; sons Carey and Jesse Puebla of Carthage, MO; step-son Michael Scoville of Granby, CT; brother Jesse Andereck of Rock Island, IL; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating her life is planned for a later date.
