Marlene Ann O'Mara

Marlene A. O'Mara, age 81, fifty year resident of Casa Grande.  Passed away peacefully on Saturday August 24, 2024 at the Hazelwood Manor Assisted Living Home in Scottsdale.  She was born June 25, 1943 in Oakland, California to James and Mary Eakin.  

Marlene was past President of the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and during her time there put on several charity balls.  She also served as President of St. Anthony of Padua Home and School Association; member of the BPW and operated a gift shop, Mara's Gifts in the Holiday Inn.  She also was a volunteer and director for the local chapter of the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her children, Evan of Golden Valley, AZ; Eric of Phoenix, AZ; Lisa of Paradise Valley, AZ and Jillian of Casa Grande.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; niece, Gena Eakin and her beloved cat, Jubal.  Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene T. O'Mara; parents, James and Mary Frances Eakin and brother Gary Eakin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 4th, 2024 10:00a.m - 11:00a.m, followed by a Catholic Scripture Service at 11:00a.m, both at J Warren Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Road, Casa Grande.  Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Casa Grande.  In Lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations may be made to: The Hospice of the Valley.
