SACATON - Marlene Sylvia Cook, 58, of Sacaton died on Nov. 15, 2015, at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert.
Visitation will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Monday in East Sacaton Cemetery.
Ms. Cook was born on May 25, 1957, in Sacaton. She was a casino supervisor before retirement.
She loved to cook and dance and was a warm, loving and caring woman who always put others before herself. She liked watching her TV shows and loved Betty Boop. Most of all, she loved to laugh with her family and friends and spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin D.J. and Philbrick Cook of Sacaton; a daughter, Monae Cook-Ramos of Phoenix; four sisters, Arlene Apkaw, Jeannie Cook-Marquez, Vickie Cook and Genevieve Jones, all of Sacaton; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin D. Manuel and Priscilla E. James-Cook; a son, Travis Cook; and a brother, Irvine Pablo.
