Martha Medina

ELOY - Martha Medina, 60, died on May 5, 2018.

Ms. Medina was born on Oct. 6, 1957, to Ysidro Medina Sr. and Maria Preciado in Tucson. She worked at the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program in Pinal County before retirement and had much love for the families she helped. She was very generous and also the life of the party. She was very proud of her hometown and would always say, "Eloy in the house."

She was devoted to her family and had a knack for giving them nicknames that stuck with them. She was known for her infectious laugh, bright smile and love for life, which brought much joy to others.

Survivors include a son, Paul Rodriguez of Eloy, and nine siblings, Alice Salazar of Eloy, Willie Rodriguez of Coolidge, Terry Rodriguez of Casa Grande, Gloria Guzman of Eloy, Christina Laguna of Tucson, Juan Salazar of Casa Grande, Hermina Valdez of Eloy, Connie Macias of Arizona City and Susie Salazar of Eloy. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Richard Rodriguez, Ysidro Medina, Gilbert Laguna and Frank Salazar; and two sisters, Irma Laguna and Demetria Salazar.

Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, with rosary recited at 10, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
