SACATON — Martin Brown, 56, died on Aug. 11, 2011, at home.
Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at the Oleta Brown home in Bapchule, with visitation continuing until 10 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born on May 18, 1955, in Sacaton. He was a heavy-equipment operator. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them. He was always helping others. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music.
Survivors include his wife, Claudette Antone-Brown; four sons, Martin Brown of Santan, Chance Brown of Sacaton Flats, Wilford Brown of Sacaton and Murphy Miles of Stotonic; a daughter, Roxanne Terry of Goodyear Village; two brothers, Lloyd Brown Sr. of Bapchule and David Brown Sr. of Gila Butte; two sisters, Ercilia Brown of Phoenix and Lavonne Perea of Phoenix; his foster mother, Oleta Brown of Bapchule; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Florence Brown; two brothers, Sylvester and Stanley Brown; and a sister, Winifred Vest.
