Martin Carlos

PISINEMO VILLAGE - Martin Carlos, 78, of Pisinemo died on July 26, 2020, at Banner-University Medical Center-Tucson.

Mr. Carlos was born on Oct. 18, 1941, in Santa Rosa Village to James Carlos and Mary C. Lopez. He formerly was a longtime resident of Casa Grande, working as a cotton farm machine operator before retiring and returning to his home village.

He pursued his love of Pascola dancing, a Tohono O'odham tribal tradition. He enjoyed the company of other elders at the senior services center and loved attending annual elderly conferences in Tucson.

Survivors include a sister, Susanna Murrietta of North Santa Rosa Village; four brothers, Simon Carlos of North Santa Rosa, Tommy Carlos of Santa Rosa, Louis Carlos of Oakum Kuk Village and Norbert Carlos of Santa Rosa; and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita, and a brother, Matthew Carlos.
