STOTONIC - Martin Morris, 76, of Stotonic died on May 17, 2015, at home.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the District 4 Service Center. The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Santan Indian Assembly of God, with the Rev. Truett Johns officiating. Burial will be in Stotonic Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was born on March 6, 1939, in Vian, Oklahoma, and was a son of Jess and Josie Morris. A farmworker, he was a quiet and gentle man who had great faith in God. He was a hard worker who was devoted to his family and was looked up to by all who knew him. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing praises to the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Rosetta; five daughters, Linda Cheater, Carol Blackbird, Cindy Cheater, Marlene Corralejo and Sharon Johnson; four sons, Leonard, Ralph, Floyd and Colan Morris; three sisters, Ann Johns of Bristow, Oklahoma, Okla "Dale" Cheater of Park Hill, Oklahoma, and Elizabeth Gutierrez of Vian; a brother, Pat Morris of Vian; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Riley and Jess Morris Jr.
