Martin Rodriguez

Martin Rodriguez Sr., 88, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 9, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by the Rev. Felix Rodriguez. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Rodriguez was born on Jan. 2, 1925, in Long Beach, Calif., and was a son of Roberto Rodriguez and Francisca Dorado. He was a school custodian in Casa Grande for 27 years. He enjoyed watching baseball and boxing, travel to Texas and doing yard work, but his family meant the most to him, especially the children.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Maria; three sons, Guillermo "Willie," Jesus and Martin Rodriguez Jr., all of Casa Grande; a daughter, Rosie Lewis of Casa Grande; two sisters, Bertha Sanchez of Uvalde, Texas, and Enriqueta Azpeitia of Mexico; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Antonio Rodriguez, and three sisters, Maria "Chita" Salazar, Maria Bratton and Juana Garcia.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
