Martina Ventura

NORTH KOMELIK VILLAGE - Martina Ventura, 90, died March 7, 2009 at Archie Hendricks skilled nursing home in Sells.


The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Mission, with rosary recited at 6. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Burial will be in North Komelik Cemetery.

Mrs. Ventura was born June 27, 1918 in Anegam Village and was a daughter of Teresiana and Lancha. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Nina Jose of Sells, Nancy Jose and Mary Smith of North Komelik and Susan A. Ventura of Charco 27 Village; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, and a son, John P. Ventura.
