SACATON - Marvin Ray Johnson, 54, of Sacaton died on March 15, 2014, at Caring House.

The graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Stotonic Cemetery, with Ronnie Lyons officiating.

Mr. Johnson was born on July 25, 1959, in Sacaton. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany and Kuwait. He later worked for the Gila River Indian Community’s Cultural Resources Department, then the Police Department and later 14 years for the Fire Department, where he was commander of A shift. He loved boating, skiing and being outdoors, riding his motorcycle and working on cycles. He loved his sons.

Survivors include three sons, Eric, Dennis and Marcus Johnson of Kentucky; six brothers, Van Johnson of Sacaton Flats, Enoch Johnson of Sacaton, Carlos and Selwynne Johnson of Blackwater, Anthony and Samuel Marrietta of Casa Blanca; and three sisters, Carol Myers of Goodyear Village, Julia and Vera Marrietta of Casa Blanca. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Johnson Jr. and Jessie Murrietta.
