Born in Globe, AZ, the son of Samuel and Arlie Fair. He served in the Navy during WWII and later worked for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. for 33 years before retiring. He also retired from the Naval Reserve after serving in the Seabees Unit. He and his wife, Francene, owned Camp June Texaco Station and Small Engine Shop in Claypool from 1958-1981. He was a volunteer with Gila County Rescue and TriCity Fire Department. He was a past exalted ruler of Miami Elks Lodge and an avid hunter and fisherman. After retirement the couple lived in Show Low and spent the cooler months in Casa Grande. They were married 48 years and died together, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
