Mary Lee Anderson, 66, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 8, 2012, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11.
Mrs. Anderson was born on Feb. 27, 1946, in Greenville, Texas, to Albert and Rosie Lee Williams. She grew up and attended school there and moved to Arizona in 1967. She married Nathaniel Anderson in 1971 in Casa Grande. She was a homemaker and a good seamstress. She loved fishing, spending time with her family and taking care of them and had a contagious laugh. She also loved playing handheld video games and dominoes with her sisters and friends.
She gave her life to the Lord more than 20 years ago under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Clarence C. Edwards. She was a faithful church member and served as assistant Sunday school superintendent and prayer and Bible band president. She sang in the choir for several years and looked forward to going to church and accompanying her pastor to various engagements.
Survivors include four daughters, Diane Williams-Shirley of Snellville, Ga., Toni D. Jordan of Athens, Ala., Ruth A. Williams and Cloris N. Woods of Tempe; two sons, Charles E. Ferguson of Casa Grande and Nathaniel Anderson Jr. of Phoenix; five sisters, Betty J. Edwards, Lula D. Deloney and Doris Johnson, all of Casa Grande, Dorothy Thomas of Lubbock, Texas, and Ruby Lewis of Littlefield, Texas; four brothers, Earnest Williams of Littlefield, Curtis and Eugene Williams of Casa Grande and Edward Williams of Clovis, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Clarence and Albert Williams Jr.; and two sisters, Exaveola Jones and Gussie Williams.
