Mary M. Black, a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away peacefully in Casa Grande, Arizona, on August 20, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on October 19, 1949, in Owensboro, Kentucky, Mary lived a life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering commitment to her family.
Mary met the love of her life, Ron Black, and they were married on June 14, 1969, in Muskegon, Michigan. As a military wife, she adapted to a life of many relocations, proving her resilience and strength to create a loving home wherever they went. Her journey led them to embrace new communities, and through it all, Mary remained a constant source of support and inspiration for her family.
She devoted her professional life to being a Loan Officer at Chase Bank, where her caring personality shone brightly. Her colleagues admired her dedication not only to her work but to everyone she encountered. Mary’s warm spirit and love for her clients created lasting relationships, reflecting the nurturing nature that she carried into every aspect of her life.
Mary had a profound love for travel; she took every opportunity to explore new places, embracing the beauty and diversity of the world around her. Yet, no place brought her more joy than when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, Amber, Katlin, Connor, and Grayson Black. Each moment spent with them was a cherished memory, filled with laughter and love. Her passion for reading was another way she nurtured her curiosity and shared stories that captivated her family.
Survived by her devoted husband, Ron Black of Casa Grande, AZ, and their loving children: Cathy Black of Beeville, TX, and Timothy Black of Casa Grande, AZ, along with Jennifer Black, Mary's Daughter In-Law. Mary’s legacy also continues through her cherished siblings—Sharon Covell and Patti Dewees of St. Louis Park, MN, and Sandra Hudson of Beeville, TX.
Mary’s family plans to honor her life and memory with a Mass at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church located at 201 N Picacho St, Casa Grande, AZ, on August 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are welcomed to gather in remembrance of her beautiful spirit.
