Mary D. Tokarz

Mary Dolores Tokarz of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away on December 4th, 2020 at age 97. She was born on August 20th, 1923 to Frank and Suzanna Mathias in Dunlo, Pennsylvania.
After graduation from Duryea High School in June 1941, she moved with her parents to Wallington, New Jersey where she met her husband, Joseph. They were married on June 16th, 1945 and had two children, Joseph, Jr and Donna.
Mary was employed at Sears, Roebuck and Company in Passaic and Hackensack, New Jersey, where she retired after 23 years of service.
Mary and her husband loved to travel, visiting many of the country’s National Parks and enjoying the warmth of many islands in the Caribbean.
After the passing of her parents and her husband, Mary relocated to Chandler, Arizona in 1998, where she was active in the Senior Citizens and a volunteer at St Vincent DePaul in Phoenix. She moved to a Senior Living community in Casa Grande in 2006, where she enjoyed coloring, playing cards, bingo and socializing with her friends. She was a "cat-mom" to two beloved cats, Toby and Ka-Jo, who will be waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
Mary was preceded in death by Joseph, her husband of 45 years and her son, Joseph, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Robert Riley of Gilbert, Arizona and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Tokarz of Parsippany, New Jersey.
Mary was interred in the family burial plot at St, Michael’s Cemetery in Lodi, New Jersey. Honoring her wishes, services were private. Arrangements were handled by J.Warren Funeral Services in Casa Grande, Arizona. Condolences may be expressed at www.jwarrenfuneral.com.
